The goal of my research is to integrate computational techniques into the field of cultural studies to explore the ways in which the sociological phenomenon of football influences national and regional identities in Germany in the digital age.
Dissertation Project
- Football and Multiculturalism in Germany, 2006-2018
Combining text mining techniques with critical theory, this research investigates the cultural phenomenon of football as a battleground for both the promotion and contestation of multiculturalism in Germany.
