Teaching

In the academic year 2017/2018, I was awarded the Max Kade Fellowship and worked as a research assistant at Michigan State University (MSU). My main responsibility is job-shadowing with a senior faculty who taught GRM311: Business German. You can find my reflection (written in 2018) here.

In Fall 2018 and Spring 2019, I taught three sections (one section in FS 18, two sections in SS19) of entry-level German courses, GRM 101. When I taught the course for the second time, I created more activities to keep students interactive. You can find students’ evaluations here (SIRS: Student Instructional Rating System).

Starting Fall 2019, I started to work with the German Basic Language Program (led by Prof.Senta Goertler) and taught GRM102 for three semesters in FS19, SS20, FS20 and GRM202 once in SS21. I won the 2021 Outstanding TA Award at the Department of Linguistics and Languages. You can find the Award Letter here.

In the summer of 2021, I was the recipient of the Colleges’ Online Learning Academy (COLA) Fellowship. This summer fellowship encouraged and guided me to engage with digital teaching and learning methods. You can find my portfolio here.
